Presentation of data in the air crew table
Information concerning the ranks and names was gained from the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website as well as from data presented on the website of the Verzetsmuseum Friesland.

From left to right the aircraft serial number, aircraft type, unit/service, unit- and individual aircraft codeletter as well as the aircraft's base are provided.
Presentation of data in the accident table
This table reconstructs the circumstances of the final war flight of the aircraft and its crew. The information presented is based on data presented in "Bomber Command Losses" (9 volumes) by W.R. Chorley, "Fighter Command Losses" (3 volumes) by N.L.R. Franks and "Coastal Command Losses" (one volume published to date) by R. McNeill.
The Operations Record Books of the units concerned, held in The National Archives (TNA) at Kew also provided information on the aircraft and aircrew's last flight.
Recently, the Stichting Missing Airmen Memorial Foundation (SMAMF), launched their website "Luchtoorlog Friesland": www.luchtoorlogfriesland.nl.
One other frequently consulted source "En nooit was het stil..." (Volumes I & II) by author G. Zwanenburg.
In some other cases, local research groups and individual researchers provided excellent information. They are credited in the tables.
